My names is Ben, I am a car enthusiast. I like vintage muscle cars, hot rods, & rat rods from the 1930' to the '1980's.

I recently (2017) started collecting Hot Wheels again. The bug bit me while I was looking for a photography project to work on through the winter months up here in Northern Wisconsin. It was at the local Farm and Fleet store where the Hot Wheels display caught my eye and I decided to take a look. I purchase a Passin' Gasser, which I chose because my wife and I found a drag strip in the area and have been enjoying some weekend trips the track. She likes watching the races and I enjoy capturing images of the cars in action.

Here is a picture I made with the Gasser.
It was fun creating the scene and soon found myself looking for more cars. I was on the hunt for more drag strip style cars from my youth. As a kid I played with Hot Wheels, often creating entire cities and road ways in the dirt. I also spent many weekends at the strip with my family enjoying the races.
When I had a hard time finding those kind of cars at my local box store, I started looking on-line to see if they even made cars like that any more.

Behold an entire world of collectors and customizers.

I began watching video after video of wheel swaps, detailing, restores, and repaints. The local flea market became my new favorite where I found a collector with a wide selection of new and used cars.
Each week a new purchase of old and new cars. My evenings are now filled with stripping, painting, detailing, and photographing mini machines.

I started this blog to document my collection, and show off my photos.

I collect castings of . vintage muscle cars, hot rods, and rat rods from 1930' to the '1980's
I am currently limiting myself to 1:64 scale castings of any brand. Hot wheels, Matchbox, M2, Johnny Lighting, Racing Champs, etc.

By day I manage my Promotional Products and Apparel business Blackmarx Studio.
I also do some Photography on the side for fun money as Blackmarx Photo.
